Overview of the role
Group Technology & Digital Platforms (GTDP) is responsible for creating, implementing, and sustaining a world-class service provision and agile development capability to facilitate the ambitious growth and business transformation agenda of the Al-Futtaim Group across all geographies. This covers Business Application Management, Infrastructure & Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management, Information Security, IT Procurement, and IT Governance. GTDP also manages and innovates the entire life cycle of SAP ERP system for Automotive, Retail, Real Estate and Financial Services and other LOBs including development, selective outsourcing, and application management. The Group IT Infrastructure includes Cloud and on-premises data centers hosting state of the art servers & storage, converged networks, workplace, services, and security systems. This position reports to the Manager – Cloud Engineering within Enterprise Platform Services (EPS).

Cloud Domain Engineers are responsible of design, implementation, operation and continuous improvement of the components and governance controls related to their domain expertise. In alignment with IT Strategy. They are also responsible for defining domain level roadmaps and advice on best practice implementations.

They are expected to provide domain expertise and collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve common goals and deliverables.

What you will do
Implement Azure Security Solutions adhering to the principles of Azure Well Architected framework.
Knowledgeable in adopting Azure DevOps culture and CI/CD pipeline for creating landing zones and automation of resource security using Azure policy.
Provide L3 support for Firewalls, WAF, LTM, Bot Protection, IPS/IDS, Privileged access management systems, Endpoint Security Systems, and other network security systems / tools in Cloud and on premises.
Provide L3 Support on Cloud native resources like, Load Balancer, Private Endpoints, VNET Peering, Routing, Express Routes etc.
Manage support vendor escalations in a timely manner. Track incidents and problem tickets and maintain SLA compliance.
Implement and maintain network infrastructure in Cloud and Hybrid environment as per defined standards and policies.
Automate controls and processes to provide improved metrics and operational support using Infrastructure-as-code and security-as-code.
Manage operational duties within a cloud centric environment using cloud native tools like Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Front Door, DDOS protection, Network Watcher, Express Route, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor and Azure Security Center and other toolsets.
Liaise with Core Teams (Enterprise Architects, Lead Cloud Architects, other infra teams) to ensure alignment with approved standards and guidelines.
Be part of a multidisciplinary Cloud Team which takes ownership of both new deployments and operational activities.
Ensure applications and locations are integrated and adhere to defined cloud connectivity architecture & design principles and standards.
Assist Application and Infrastructure team for creating Landing zones in Cloud infrastructure.
Perform proactive and reactive upgrades and maintenance outside of business hours, following the company’s change management and operational procedures.
Create documentation, SOPs and knowledge base articles as required.

Required skills to be successful
Familiar with Network Domain managing Routers, Switches and SDWAN Technologies.
Excellent understanding of enterprise networking – IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, routing, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, load balancer, DNS, DHCP.
Demonstrated experience in scripting and automation, orchestration tools, Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD concepts to automate creation of testing, staging and production environments.
Strong familiarity with cloud capabilities and services in Azure.
Exposure to project management and Continuous Security Improvement Program planning and implementation techniques, ITIL, leading Cyber Security Frameworks
Certifications in Cloud Administration, Architecture, Security, Governance with emphasis on Azure

What equips you for the role
A degree or diploma in Computer Science or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience building and maintaining secure Azure solutions.
Minimum 7 years of experience Network Security Domain managing firewalls, WAF, Privileged Access Mgmt. Systems, Identity and Access Management, Proxy, IPS
