Job Purpose:
The Key Account Manager will have dual responsibility to retain and grow specified key accounts as well as winning new business from identified accounts through exhibition, sponsorship and delegate sales. The role requires a strong focus on high-value deals across the energy value chain that are deemed strategically important for the growth of the event.

This role requires an experienced and influential individual with outstanding sales skills, the ability to work with large, global accounts, who ideally has excellent working relationships within the energy sector. The Key Account Manager will play a key role in delivering the next phase of the company’s growth strategy in a rapidly evolving energy market.

Key Accountabilities:
Manage a portfolio of accounts with five and six figure contract value
Cultivate strong relationships with a cross-section of stakeholders with a consultative approach
Achieve and exceed agreed show and personal revenue and profit targets
Undertake research to understand the specific objectives, aims and ambitions of your client base
To work closely with and within each business to identify its aims, objectives and requirements
Tailor opportunities available, creating strong partnership propositions
Identify new sales opportunities and develop them into long-term relationships with revenue
Work closely with other departments; content, marketing, and to operate as one team.
Attend events, liaise with exhibitor/sponsor clients onsite to ensure that their contract is fulfilled and all their concerns and needs are addressed.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
4 years experience working in exhibition and sponsorship sales
Can showcase a strong sales skillset: lead generation, cold walling, working with CRM systems, cultivating sponsorship and exhibition proposals
Bonus to have worked in the energy industry
Previous responsibility for achieving sales targets
Hardworking, self-starter, honest, willingness to learn and strong desire to achieve
