Our client based in Qatar is looking for a Marketing Executive to join their operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting overall marketing activities and performing strategic business research in order to develop business plans, market performance studies, customer relationship management, assist in developing marketing communication strategies and prepare annual budgets under direction of Head of Section – Marketing.
Carry out both formal and informal market research on an ongoing basis in order to assess performance against marketing plan and to assess current and potential future market opportunities.
Gather Market Intelligence by carrying out aggressive field research, visits and works and provide relevant information and submit reports with recommendations on market demands and trends in order to support decision making for ongoing development in marketing practice and new product development.
Assist Management in preparation of Commercial Strategy
Assist management in decision making related to new product development by providing accurate and relevant information and reports on market demands & trends
Prepare Monthly Sales Forecast, Monthly Market Highlights and Leadership Meeting presentations.
Prepare Quarterly Board Meeting Presentations covering Actual Performance & Latest Market information.
Prepare Annual Sales Budget and Five Years Business Plan
Focal point for all Internal & External Audits and QS Website & IT related reports
Focal point for answering queries from QE/IQ/ Ministries/others.
Monitor ongoing and upcoming construction projects, competitors’ activities, supply and demand, market share, price and trends in order to keep management updated and to facilitate decision making.
Maintain close rapport with QS Traders’ Consultant, Contractors, Government authorities and Subscription Researchers to collect timely and reliable market information.
Review and propose subscriptions for various Periodicals/Magazines to generate more sources of industry information.
Submit periodic reports to Senior and Management staff in order to have the relevant information needed to support marketing decision-making.
Maintain close coordination with Sales and Freight sections for data on demand and supply, pricing, product delivery, new product development, production planning and any other related activities to achieve overall corporate commercial objectives.
Assist in developing marketing communication strategies and coordinate with PR & Communications Department to ensure proper and relevant information is shared for all promotional activities.
Receive and promptly resolve all customer complaints as focal Point for the company, Q-Coat & our client FZE in close coordination with all appointed focal points in Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Rolling Mill, Shipping, Steel Making, our client FZE & Q-Coat
Update management on the company’s performance on complaint handling on a quarterly basis
Conduct Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey on the company, our client FZE & Q-Coat products & Services.
Enhance Trader Performance Appraisal System to evaluate and reward traders’ performances.
Respond to all types of technical queries from customers on the company & Q-Coat products.
Liaise regularly with senior business management in order to understand ongoing business activities and development.
Assume responsibilities for those aspects of Quality and HSE management systems in own work area.
Carry out any additional tasks as required by the Management.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or commercial discipline.
7+ years experience in marketing areas in Steel Industry is MUST.
Well-developed professional marketing knowledge and expertise in own area.
Well-developed knowledge and understanding of steel billet and rebar market – its structure and characteristics
Well-developed knowledge and understanding of the company current and potential customer base
