Key Accountabilities:
Role Purpose
Marketing Specialist, is responsible for developing, implementing and managing campaigns that promote MIA in close coordination with QM Central Marketing and Communication and Digital Experience Departments. As a Focal Point of MIA, Marketing Specialist performs the role of key link in between MIA and QM Central Marketing and Communication and Digital Experience Departments in enhancing better collaboration, coordination and information sharing along with playing a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website. Also identifies and evaluates new digital technologies and uses web analytics tools for better optimization of marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media and display and search advertising. The role also takes care of documenting activities and events in order to develop digital archive at MIA.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs as a link in relation to PR & Marketing matters in between MIA and central Marketing & Communication Department.
Serves as a Focal Point of all PR & Marketing matters for all MIA related activities (exhibitions, Learning & Outreach, events, etc)
Strategically plans PR & Marketing activities within MIA in close collaboration with central Marketing and Communication Department so as to align strategic planning.
Provides regular updates to QM on MIA activities.
Coordinates with social media team the content of social media accounts and website.
Drafts and edits content copy for social media, and other digital media.
Maintains and coordinates in updating website content in close coordination with Digital Experience Department.
Assists all MIA staff with issues that are PR & Marketing related.
Coordinates with Central Marketing and Communication Department so as to liaise with relevant media outlets concerning latest information on MIA activities.
Creates and maintains a media library to share and use with publications for annual catalogue print, also for usage in promotional materials and news.
Provides continuous efforts to incorporate new technologies to enhance digital communications, i.e. blog, Facebook, or any such social media platforms.
Identifies, develops and manages multimedia content in close coordination with Central Marketing and Communication and Digital Experience Departments.
Assumes responsibility for continual liaising with all required parties for all MIA branding and PR activities.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Necessary knowledge to be able to do the job
Must be knowledgeable in all forms of marketing including broadcast, digital, written and social media.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Must be bilingual (Arabic and English).
Should have knowledge in design software e.g. photoshop, illustrator etc.
Needs knowledge in social media analytics and reports.
Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
Must be proactive with attention to detail.
Experience in a marketing, communications, or related environment.
Excellent writing skills (gathering information and summarizing/reporting) for a web and social media presence in an academic setting.
Experience with social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
Demonstrated ability to apply creative design principles in the production of engaging web content.
Knowledge of HTML and CSS, as well as experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, In Design etc.). Additional photography skills would be considered an asset.
Very strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
Proven ability to work in a fast-moving environment on multiple websites and projects simultaneously with attention to detail, flexibility to respond to shifting priorities.

Education, Experience, and certification requirements
Bachelors in a relevant discipline (Marketing, Multi-Media Communications, Communications, New Media, or related field).
A minimum of 9 years’ experience; recent professional experience in related role.
