JOB DESCRIPTION
Since opening our first shop in 1869, we’ve made a lot of Christmases merry and bright. Over the last 150 years, our food and drink offer might have changed, but our passion for outstanding customer service remains just as strong. You’ll be joining the team at our busiest time of the year and helping us to continue our tradition of creating fantastic experiences for millions of customers.

Whilst many of our roles will be temporary over the festive period, there may also be permanent opportunities available – please check the contract type and hours before applying to ensure that the role is right for you.

As a Food Services Assistant, one day you might be helping out in the bakery, or if you work in one of our stores with a café or hot food counter, you could be serving coffees or preparing pizzas. Either way, you’ll be tuned in to what our customers want and make sure they’re receiving an experience that will really wow them. From helpful advice, to chatting about their day – by being yourself and offering a personalised service wherever possible, you’ll ensure every customer walks away with the intention of coming back.

You don’t need to bring any previous food or retail experience – because we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

What matters is that you have a passion for food and you’re prepared to do the right thing for our customers. Whilst not essential, the more you know about technology and the stronger your nose for sales, the better you’ll be at getting people excited about our products.
