Candidate Requirement
Looking for a young, experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of IFRS/UAE accounting regulations and practices, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The position is full-time, and based in our office in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, U.A.E.

Key responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with UAE accounting standards and regulations
Understand the financial statements and prepare their Schedules
Very good understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for management and regulatory reporting
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including follow up with Customers / Sales
Responsible to ensure Invoices are paid before due date, booking of Vendor invoices as well as processing of incoming and outgoing payments
Prepare Monthly provisions including monthly Sales Commissions due to the Distributors / Agents where ever necessary and maintain the Prepaid account
Maintain imprest account
Good understanding of UAE labor law and assist to prepare monthly payroll and its schedule
Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with UAE tax regulations
Reconcile accounts including-Bank, Inter Company and investigate to resolve discrepancies if any
Assist with internal and external auditors
Monitor cash flow and support in prepare cash flow projections
Maintain relationships with banks, Insurance brokers and other financial institutions
Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management

What you should bring with you
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounts/finance Minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant in the UAE
In-depth knowledge of UAE accounting / IFRS regulations and practices is desirable
Proficiency with accounting software preferable SAP
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and MS Power-point
Knowledge in Treasury and Trade Finance
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in English
Knowledge in Arabic will be an added advantage
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and complete the task within stipulated time
Experience with VAT and other local tax regulations will also be of an added advantage
