Overview of the role:
Act as Senior Finance partner for New Business team, evaluating new business opportunities, preparing financial analysis, progressing AFEs, and then managing transition of new businesses through to handover to owning Brand. Particular focus on EVs and related activity as a priority.
Finance support and oversight for CoEs – Indirect Costs, ad-hoc analysis, process guidance (prim. Marketing, CEC, Customer Centricity, Public Affairs, Transformation, New Business). CPD analytical support as required.
Support GM Finance priorities in terms of process improvement actions, esp. as relates to control and transformation.

What you will do:
New Business:
Partner with New Business Team to prepare and progress business cases to support business proposals – act as Finance representative in leadership discussions and business reviews.
Act as Finance Leader with various Al-Futtaim Auto and Group Finance stakeholders to ensure process alignment, and that financial input is captured
Provide relevant commercial insight and analysis as related to business proposals.
Provide Finance support to coordinate transition of new businesses through to readiness for handover to Brands

CoE:
Oversee effective management of CoE Indirect Cost budget / forecasting / actuals processes, and associated administrative requirements. Includes P&L and balance sheet.
Provide Finance support for CoE partners as required, including (but not limited to):
Transformation reporting (profitability, investment)
BPM + RPA activity (business cases, investment reporting and management)
Customer Centricity support (e.g. Customer Ecosystem, validation of data analysis)

GM Support:
Enable delivery of specific process improvement activities, related to department goals
Direct, proactive, commercially-savvy Finance leader and partner to challenge, coach, guide, mentor to New Business Team (co-locate on 18F approx. 3 days / week). Take ownership and push forward.
Be responsive in an environment is flexible and dynamic, with changing priorities, while protecting Finance basics (e.g. DoA, accounting policies).
Maintain good relationships across Finance (Auto + Group), as well as with CoE leads – networking and influencing to keep lines of communication open and aid effective delivery
Mentor / coach both direct reports, and also non-Finance colleagues – Finance as a service organization, and linking physicals to financials
Will deal with all levels of organization on daily basis – Bands F through K/L.

Required Skills to be successful:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in auto or similar industry
Experience with forecast, and actuals environment, and profit modelling
Professional certified (CMA, CPA ..)
Good communication skills & confident.

About the Team:
In this position you will be working in a fast paced and diverse environment. You will be reporting directly to the GM Auto Finance Transformation & COE

What equips you for the role:
Proactive Finance partner with strong entrepreneurial and commercial focus – engage with operational partners to provide commercial insight and shape business proposals. Includes navigation of required approval steps.
Ideally finance qualification. Relevant commercial qualification would be considered.
Professional Accounting qualification an advantage but not mandatory.
Demonstrated experience with balance sheet, income statement, cashflow, and capital budgeting.
Modelling experience, applied in new business, forecast, and actuals environment.
Minimum approx. 10 years experience in auto or similar industry.
Comfortable with ambiguity and difficult timelines
Excellent communication skills – must be able to relate effectively across all levels and areas of organization. Communicates clearly and directly while remaining diplomatic.
Excellent analytical skills – distil complex problems to critical messages, and communicate effectively to a non-technical audience.
Confident self-starter with delivery focus and strong work ethic.
