Ethiopian Center for Development (ECD) is looking for a methodical and strategic Capacity Development coordinator to work with our organization in enhancing funding models, identifying new sources of funding, and developing sustainable and effective grants programs. Duties for the Capacity Development coordinator will include managing overall grant efforts, optimizing the grant administration process, overseeing fund-raising, preparing progress reports, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, reviewing grant proposals, managing grant databases, engaging with donor agencies and educating staff on policies. Your skills and expertise in successful Capacity Development coordinator will aid our organization in serving the public by securing continuous funding and improving business opportunities through effective funding programs.

The ideal candidate for this role should have superior organizational skills, great leadership qualities, and exceptional organizational development and monitoring skills. The outstanding Capacity Development coordinator should re-enforce relationships with donors, ensure that grant programs operate efficiently, streamline grant administration, and keep our organization 

• Designing grant programs.
• Determining funding needs.

• Coordinating and engaging with grant team.
• Identifying support agencies.
• Optimizing the grant administration process.
• Managing timelines and deliverables.
• Preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Tracking grant applications.
• Mobilizes resources for organizational capacity development needs.
• Develop resource mobilization presentations, proposals, briefing notes; participating in donor and stakeholders’ meetings.
• Periodically monitor the capacity building and RM activities of ECD and compile and submit quarterly reports on the progress.
• Carrying out other duties assigned by the Executive Director and Program Manager.

• BA/MA in Project Management and related field of study.
• Minimum 2 years of experience for MA and Minimum 4 years of experience for BA
• Methodical and strategic thinking

• Knowledge of donor agencies.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
