Position Details:
• Responsible for preparing of variety of desserts, pastries or other sweet products following traditional and modern recipes. Crafting delicious desserts and confectionery, designing seasonal menus, and developing new recipes for the pastry section of our kitchen.
• Responsible for the planning, preparation and presentation of all pastry products as per location requirements.
• Control the food quality, presentation and service as per the required standards defined by the manager/superior.
• Ensure that all bakery staffs have adequate operating knowledge of various bakery tools and equipment.
• Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
• Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
Competencies / skills required:
• Candidate must have minimum six years of experience in the similar role
• Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field
• In depth knowledge of Food safety / HACCCP principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
