As CHB agent the role will be primarily responsible for day to day execution of CHB activities for our transit, Cross -border and port clearances along with maintaining high customer satisfaction and driving the CHB activity’s delivery, working with our customers, commercial and product teams to drive growth and meet customer expectations. In addition to below KPIs, Its upto incumbent to carve out the job description beyond this since the role has the opportunity to interact with multiple stakeholders (customers or vendors or internal) and work jointly to create solutions under all things ‘customs solutions’!

Key responsibilities
•Be the primary point of contact for own customers and ensure smooth execution of CHB declaration, by working closely with the customer as well as internal stakeholders
•Maintain daily operation communication with internal and external customers, including receival of required details, validation and acceptance.
•Keep close track of client shipments and ensure you perform in accordance with the signed contracts and SOPs. Communicate non-conformance of service and data quality.
•Drive active adoption of e-channels being deployed to service our customers (CHB APPLITE, My Customs on maersk.com, SAP TM etc.)
•Be responsible to ensure correct job costing for each transaction handled including: taking ownership of accurate and timely customer invoice as per rate and service agreementh. Take ownership of accurate and timely cost update into Maersk system. Closely coordinate with concerned parties to solve all issues related to service charges or job costing.
•To coordinate closely with customer service and sale team in understanding the scopes required as well as customer expectation to ensure we deliver smooth service performance and customer expectation.
•Inform and advise customer on the formalities of the movement of goods (legal provisions, duty payment scenarios, guarantees, etc.). Collect all the documents necessary to carry out the operations properly.
•Inform the client and the hierarchy of the steps in the progress of the file. Notice of arrival, delays, delivery etc.
•Maintain good relations with customers and different administrations/authorities (customs, terminals, authorities, Chamber of Commerce, etc.)
•Be a force multiplier to internal and external customers/stakeholders to ensure the efficiency of processing operations and compliance with regulations related to relevant CHB activities
•Collect all the documents necessary to carry out the operations properly along with monitoring and validating spending commitments.
We are looking for
•Minimum Bachelor’s degree in logistics or Supply Chain Management or Data management
•Candidate must have be digitally savvy and data management oriented
•Minimum 1-2 year’s experience in a customer facing or prior CHB activity handling expertise be an added advantage though freshers are welcome to apply as well.
•Good understanding of the transportation sector/logistics/container shipping industry and an ability to relate with other associated industries (Retail/Petrochemical/FMCG/ Temperature controlled cargo etc.)
•Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with external stakeholders and within the organization.
•Fluent in English (Read/Write/Oral)
•Demonstrated proficiency in using data to drive business results
•Good customer engagement skills and ability to pick gaps in processes and address those
•Team player: Team work across functions
