The Purchasing Manager oversees and participates in ordering goods and materials to ensure approved vendors are utilized to secure best price for best product. Monitor and approve all incoming goods and materials to ensure that received products are updated in a timely manner in Birchstreet and securely stored away and/or delivered. Assist all departments with improvement on Diverse spend goals. Schedule and supervise Receiving and Storeroom clerks’ daily schedule of activities. Purchasing Manager will report up to Director and Assistant Director of Finance and participate in all Finance needs as directed.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Control all asset storerooms to ensure that all goods are properly stored and secured.
Ensure that a proper requisition process is in place to maintain integrity of inventory value.
On a monthly basis, self-audit inventory value and assist with quarterly and/or at the discretion of Finance take part in an official audit of inventory.
All liquor will be transferred on a bottle for bottle action and wine replaced based on chit for bottle. Par levels are to be established in outlets and audited daily, weekly and monthly.
Manage all aspects of our Birchstreet Purchase order system and assist Finance during the month and month end to ensure that all items are properly received and accrued for. This would include assistance with new vendor set ups, training of department heads on best practice in Birchstreet, monitoring accuracy of GL coding and working towards inventory management in the system.
Ongoing improvement and searching for qualified Diverse vendors to supplement our procurement spend when and where available.
Assist Finance team with reconciliation of vendor statements and responding to needs for timely AP processing, if needed.
Monitoring of Markview AP system daily to ensure that all processing with our Shared services team continues to flow.

SALARY:
Salary range for this position is $60,100 – $87,000. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
Birchstreet Purchasing System knowledge required
Markview knowledge required
Outlook, Excel, and Word experience preferred
Hospitality or hotel experience preferred
Minimum 2 years work experience as a Purchasing Manager
Confident problem solving, administrative, and interpersonal skills are required
