Hiring for a Logistics Analyst II in United States
Purpose and Scope:
Perform logistics support tasks within logistics element area(s) (ILS planning, maintenance planning, supply support, test and support equipment, packaging/handling/storage/ transportation, personnel and training, data. computer resources, design interface) for systems, subsystems, and equipment. Perform analyses, studies, problem identification and resolution in support of a customer logistics area manager. Assists in the development of processes to identify trends concerning the flow of operations and the supply chain.

Essential Responsibilities:
1.Research and analyze logistics element problems and determine solution alternatives.
2.Perform routine customer interface with supervision in the execution and status reporting of tasks.
3.Review reports, technical papers, drawings, specifications, procedures, etc.; consolidate comments from various organizations; and draft reports.
4.Assist in preparing routine correspondence (i.e., letters, memos and route sheets), spreadsheets, Gantt charts, presentations, and meeting minutes.
5.Assist with maintenance of logistics support data, planning schedules, and documents.
6.Support logistics element(s) tasks.
7.Participate in interdisciplinary projects and groups to achieve maximum supply chain efficiency
8.Assist in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
9.Identify data gaps and integrity concerns, establish and implement correction plans, and recommend system and procedural enhancements to prevent further data integrity issues.
10.Collect data and analyzes trends in the flow of materials and equipment from manufacturer to end user to maximize supply chain efficiency. Design automated methods to enable more efficient capture of supply chain data.
11.Monitor the external environment and internal trends, to identify areas for improvement in supply chain management.
12.Program contact for provision of acquisition and movement analysis and feedback to requestor, procurement and freight forwarders as for all supply chain related queries.
13.Create system queries to collect and analyze data pertaining to request processing times, order ship times, receipt processing times and design reports, including graphs, tables and charts representing findings.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Logistics or related field and at least 1 year of job-related experience or equivalent, or Associates degree with emphasis on statistics, mathematics, computer science or related area required with two years of additional experience. Good communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
