Legal Specialist Job – Qatar Airways Doha

About the role
In this role as a Legal Specialist, you would review, analyse, draft and negotiate contracts in conjunction with user and sponsor departments to protect the interests of, and meet the business requirements of Qatar Airways Group.

Key Accountabilities:
Provide high quality legal review, analysis, negotiation and drafting of vendor contracts, including service agreements, statements of work, licenses and consultancy agreements.
Evaluate and action events based on severity of impact on current and future contractual obligations in full coordination with internal and external department stakeholders.
Direct identification, development and implementation of entire range of contract formation, negotiation and administration policies and processes in accordance with corporate objectives.
Resolve any disputes which come up and identifying areas for improvement in company’s contracting processes.
Provide legal interpretation on terms and conditions of contracts.
Review, and draft and negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers.
Identify potential risks and threats to the projects and propose appropriate mitigation plan to management.
Contribute to and implement policies, systems, processes, procedures and standards covering all relevant business operational functions so that all operational requirements are fulfilled while complying and delivering a quality service to our internal and external customers.

Qualifications
About you
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum 6 years of job-related experience
Must be qualified as a lawyer in a recognized jurisdiction
Good experience and knowledge in Commercial / Technology contracts
Some practical knowledge of data privacy issues as they relate to contracts
Ability to understand complex vendor contracts and a proven track record of handling complex issues and negotiation
Strong legal drafting skills
