DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Driver’s Mate to play a vital role in our distribution service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• unloading of heavy products (kegs of beer) into customer cellars when required
• accompany a driver to delivery points where you will assist with unloading deliveries to licensed premises
• maintain regular contact with the Transport team and advise of all problems which may prevent the job being completed on time and without incident
• complete relevant processes on an electronic handheld device

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• High levels of manual handling are required so you need to be physically fit
• Previous experience of the preparation, distribution and handling of volume orders
• Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
• Previous practical experience as a Driver’s Mate, within a logistics or similar environment would be preferable
