Development Producer | Entertainment | Film Production & Distribution

ROLE SUMMARY
Candidate major focus will be overseeing development on commissioned productions or/& inhouse developments. The Dev. Producer will support the Head of Development throughout the film production process, from idea conception to film delivery – theatrical and non-theatrical- mostly from a creative aspect (advising on script/creative development quality, feasibility and budgeting throughout).

ROLE PROFILE
Read And Assess Pitches And Scripts For The Hod’S Review. Fill In Pitch And Script Film Assessment Forms For Every Pitched Project.
Work Closely With Producers And Talent (Writers) On Script Revisions Until Delivery Of The Final Screenplay. Provide Detailed Creative And Technical Feedback On Scriptwriting Services Provided By Commissioned Talent And Companies.
Possess Arabic Reading Skill & The Ability To Read And Analyze Arabic Scripts
Possess Excellent & Up-To-Date Market Knowledge/Exposure To Past And Current Arabic Content Particular Egyptian And Saudi Content.
Updating Development Tracking Sheets Covering Regular Updates On Greenlit Projects, Projects Under Consideration, Projects Proposed And Those Rejected.
Align Internal And External Parties On Production-Related Day-To-Day Updates Throughout All Phases.
Work Closely With The Distribution & Programming Teams To Collect Data, Assess Films & Develop Release Strategies Accordingly.
Conduct Market Research – Building & Continually Updates Databases Including Production Houses, Talent Etc…

REQUIREMENTS
Writing Thorough Script Coverage. Reading Arabic And English Scripts. Writing Credit Is A Plus Deep Understanding Of The Mena Region And Its Audience
Up To Date With Market Trends, Emerging Talents And Arabic Content
Bachelor’S Degree In Related Field Such As Filmmaking, Script Writing, Film Finance, Creative Content Production, Media Or Entertainment.
Fluent In Arabic And English. Can Read Arabic Feature Film Scripts.
+ 7 Years Working As A Development Producer Or In A Similar Role. Knowledge Of Middle East & North Africa (Mena) Business And Creative Industries And The Wider International Industry.
Arabic Content Consumer, Particularly Commercial Content; Egyptian And Saudi Film And Series. Wide Knowledge Of Established And Upcoming Talent In The Arabic Production Industry On A Regional Level.
