Decoration Manager

Role Purpose:

The Decoration Manager is responsible for the decoration of the store by maintaining decoration standards as per internal guidelines in order to promote and maintain the brand image of “Majid Al Futtaim Retail”. The role holder is also responsible for attracting customers to support overall growth of sales turnover and profitability of the store.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Promotional Responsibilities

  • Ensure the appropriate use of the store equipment while overseeing the execution of store decorations
  • Oversee the quality of the store image in term of signage (Poster, Promotion, Pricing and Graphic Charts)

Store Design Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the management team on the advertising plans and rules of communication
  • Understand the market trends and provide suggestions for improvement of the internal decorating guidelines and standards
  • Maintain the brand image of MAF Retail in the store in terms of communication at store level (usage of the decoration guide and promotional kits sent by Head Office)
  • Review health, safety and security measures and report areas of concern to the responsible Department Head
  • Ensure the correct stock of decoration supplies is maintained
  • Encourage clear communication with the merchandise team in the store for promotional activities
  • Inform management on contractor’s performance and recommend areas of improvement
  • Conduct daily floor inspection of display areas and ensure measures are put into place to rectify any issues
  • Ensure that season changes and events are implemented consistently as per timeline and decoration standards/guidelines
  • Oversee the execution of promotional and permanent BTL communication/decoration kits

Human Capital Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and provide constructive feedback and provide inputs to senior management
  • Provide mentorship for the purpose of developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles
  • Provide inputs on training needs and coordinate with the HC department to ensure facilitation of training requirements
  • Develop and implement on the job-training for the team
  • Provide inputs for the development of annual manpower plan

Qualification, Experience & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications/education
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing is preferred

Minimum experience
5+ years in the retail industry, 2+ year experience in decoration/design/interior business
