How will this role have an impact?
Signify Health is looking for a passionate Cloud Systems Engineer to enhance our team. In this role you will report to the Manager, Cloud Operations . We welcome individuals from different technical backgrounds, especially software engineers aspiring to transition into Cloud/SRE/DevOps roles. To be successful in this role, you should have a professional interest in cloud infrastructure, emerging technologies, and its impact on greater business practices. You should be able to coordinate changes with internal support teams and leverage existing change management processes. You should also have past experience with, and be proficient at, using the Linux operating system or another “Unix-like” operating system.

What will you do?
Plan, design and implement resilient, secured, and high-performance cloud-based infrastructure
Work with our development and engineering teams to plan and migrate on-premise applications to cloud platforms
Manage private and public cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
Demonstrate exceptional team-work, technical ability and problem-solving skills
Implement new cloud-based initiatives, support on-going cost reduction and performance enhancement efforts
Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel

Basic Qualifications we are looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Master’s degree a plus)
An equivalent combination of relevant experience and certification / training may be considered instead of a degree
3 or more years of professional experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related engineer position; servicing customers, clients or business units.
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Logicmonitor, New Relic,etc
Working knowledge of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks
Ability to troubleshoot complex Active Directory problems and develop solutions
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible and other tools for automating infrastructure provisioning
Experience with scripting and programming to automate repetitive tasks. Examples: PowerShell, Bash and Python
Experience in installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Redhat linux, Ubuntu and Windows Server
Experience with agile teams and processes
Able to serve in a weekly rotation of 24/7 on call support (approximately one out of four weeks)

Some preferred experience and attributes we look for include :
3 or more years of professional experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related engineer position; servicing customers, clients or business units
Certification as an Azure Administrator/Architect Certification, AWS Solutions Architect and/or Cloud Security Certification
Experience in Azure Cloud devops is desired
