About the role
Supervises and actively conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis for the Cargo department, such as ongoing responses to specific decision-making issues (e.g. commercial deal profitability, route revenue, shipment level costing). Further, managing and enhancing majority of the Cargo department’s MIS databases.

Accountabilities

  • Develops and maintains the CARGO MIS (Management Information System) covering all relevant KPI’s for the Cargo Division within Qatar Airways (S&M, F&A, O&N). Improves set of required standard Reports for Cargo Management; (daily, weekly and monthly reports) by using/upgrading existing and supporting the development of new systems and processes.
  • Performs analysis of MIS to support all departmental decision-making within the Cargo Division. (S&M, F&A, O&N). Ensures on time delivery of Reports both on structural and ad hoc reporting.
  • Provides support to the annual budgeting process. Ensure that the Capacity and Revenue budget packs are prepared in accordance with requirements and timelines as agreed with the Finance department.
  • Ensures the Cargo’s repository of data (Data library / warehouse) is managed effectively and that high quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Participate in projects related to the Cargo Department such as:
  • Implementation of Centralized BI Unit for Cargo, and the soft launch of Tableau.
  • Main interface between DOH projects team, to align the Americas dashboard requirements.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
  • Set BSA (block space agreement) new procedure with stations.
  • Monitor CCA, late spots, EQ and Dead freight to ensure compliance with QR policy and BSA contracts.
  • Recommend, implement and effectively control pricing.
  • Recommend, implement and effectively control allotments.
  • Implement effective compliance processes and control
  • Improving procedures and process in Asia with the station and HQ
  • Review procedures with TMO department and control on EQ, dead freight, CCA, Spots, late spots. Chair the BSA and equalization calls, agenda, and minutes.
  • Conducting internal reviews and station surveys.
  • Conducting communication with customers, sending statement of account on BSA/EQ performance
  • Conducting operational reviews to ensure the Asia stations meets operational requirements.
  • Following up on compliance issues that require investigation. Advising internal management and stations on the implementation of compliance procedures. Reporting on compliance (dashboard and corrective actions).
  • Dealing and being the point of contact of procedures department in head office (TMO).
  • Follow up dead freight underweight and shortfall waiving, extension and invoicing in maintaining records in a file
  • Review booking procedures, pricing procedures if mistakes are discovered in analysing the EQ data
  • Implement pricing and capacity plan to optimise QR revenue and process on compliance checks for all revenue leakage risks.
  • Centralize activities from NEA compliance (EQ and Dead freight) into the regional office of Singapore.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications
Min Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 1 years of job-related experience or someone with a keen interest in the Airline/ Cargo Industry
High level MS Office proficiency – Excel
Strong Quantitative and Qualitative Analytical Skills
Time Management
