Accounts Receivables (Intern) Job – DNV Dubai

Local Unit & Position Description:
Accounts Receivables Intern will report to the Invoicing and AR Manager. Accounts Receivables Intern will be a member of a team of Credit controllers for the Area Middle East and Africa. He/ She will oversee all AR-related duties for United Arab Emirates. We are seeking for a Accounts Receivables Intern for the Maritime Business Area to be based in Dubai.

To succeed in this role, you need to be a team player with ability to create an atmosphere of motivation and enthusiasm to be part of the Area Hub.

In your role you will:
Be responsible for regular follow ups by emails and phone calls on assigned customer accounts
Resolve disputes raised by clients by liaising with the claims teams and concerned key account managers
coordinate with the internal finance teams to ensure a clean statement of account is maintained especially after allocation of payments
Work with the key account managers by highlighting the long overdue invoices and ensure timely payment by customers
Identify the payment pattern of the critical clients to initiate control tools in concurrence with AR manager
Update the AR manager on a regular basis regarding the status of AR for the assigned customers.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance .
Excellent English skills required, written and verbal.
Knowledge of basic MS office tools like Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness.
Positive attitude, customer centric mind-set and willingness to go the extra mile to meet organizational goals.
Ability to build good relationships with different stakeholders.
Willingness to learn and adapt to changes.
Self-driven and ability to work independently.
