• Assist the Commercial Director / Senior Commercial Manager for the Project wide commercial issues, support until final completion of claims.
• Manage large project / multiple projects in commercial related areas, lead the commercial team to execute the work in professional manner.
• Cross functionally integrate with other departments (Project Management, Planning, Finance etc)

• Commercial Lead on the project
• Provision of guidance and advice on valuation of work in progress and future projections.
• Preparation of CLAW (Commercial, Legal and Administration Workbook) for the project
• Contract Administration: Timely submittal of contractually compliant notices, interim particulars and detailed particulars.
• Identify and agree the right delay analysis methodology with Planning team to ensure AFC entitlements are secured.
• Lead the claims management process and prepare the claims
• Identifying and communicating development and training needs of staff.
• Providing staff with support and guidance on their job responsibilities.
• Negotiating with client’s representatives, subcontractors (including nominated) and other consultants for contract amendments, variations, claims.
• Advise on contractual implications of intended courses of action tp the Project team
• Implementation and maintenance of cost control systems for demonstration to clients (where required) Provide contractual and commercial support to work winning
• Advise on commercial risks within the project or projects.
• Preparation of monthly contract review reports (Contract Appraisal)
• Preparation and presentation of End of Life Forecast
• Preparation and presentation of monthly management reports (PRM)
• Preparation of contractual and commercial input into Project Business Plan
• Establish from Contract award the project “budget to build”
• Identify variations in liaison with other departments and implement variation control process and agreement with Engineer and Employer
• Ensure that contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement
• Adopt appropriate measures for management of risk
• Form an integral part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for project delivery and client service
• Ensure that line manager is fully advised of any issue/risk which has arisen or might arise and which could affect the business/project
• To assist the Commercial Director with the commercial and contractual aspects of
• business area to support operations and set strategies with objective of minimising risks, maximising opportunities and avoiding disputes
• Identify and calculation of appropriate risk and opportunity allowances and their active management

• Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety, quality of services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed within AFC
• Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of process and practices taking into account, the interests and benefits to Al Futtaim and its employees.

Must have a minimum of 10 to 12 years work experience in which of 5 years in a similar role and capacity Significant track record of success in supporting a major contract over the value of AED400mil, business unit or region and/or professional function as Commercial lead Proven track record of developing client relationship Proven track record of delivery of projects from inception to final account and TOC. Manager the team size of 5 Professionals (Commercial)

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineer and/or Quantity Surveying
• Working towards Membership of Professional Body (RICS or CIOB)
• Excellent understanding of commercial and financial acumen
• Excellent knowledge of complex functional or business area
• Knowledge in various construction / Infrastructure sectors
